HOUSTON—The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers has elected Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. as an affiliate member.
Mitsubishi Chemical is headquartered in Tokyo and supplies 1,3- butadiene to the synthetic rubber industry. The firm designated Katsuhisa Onoyama as its liaison representative.
""We are extremely happy to announce the membership of Mitsubishi Chemical to our expanding list of affiliated members," said James McGraw, managing director and CEO of the IISRP.
The IISRP is an international trade association with more than 50 corporate members in 22 countries. The association says its members produce 80 percent of the world's supply of synthetic rubber.
