Gum rosin market was still in downward trend in the past week, at the weekend, gum rosin traded at about 6700RMB/ton (ww grade, steam method, Pinus massoniana) in Huangpu port, trading volume was not so large. The crop of 2006 is near to epilogue in the largest producing province, Guangxi; some producers are willing to offer at the current price due to financial pressure; other producers still stock up. Procurement price of raw material, pine oleoresin, was about 4800RMB/ton in Guangxi and Guangdong province. In Yunnan province, gum rosin and turpentine oil production is still in normal due to its sub-tropical geographic location, the quotation of gum rosin was about 6300RMB/ton (ww grade, steam method, Pinus kesiya) in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province, but the price was not so competitive due to high transportation cost for long distance to sale market or export port. For turpentine oil market, however, the market was more stable than gum rosin, quoted at about 6700RMB (EXW, super grade, pinus massoniana) in Guangxi province, 7400RMB (EXW, super grade, Pinus elloittii) in Jiangxi province, 6000RMB/ton (EXW, super grade, Pinus kesiya) in Yunnan province.
For the export market, The FOB quotation was about 810-820USD/ton (ww grade, steam methoad, Pinus massoniana, packing with galvanized irondrum) in Huangpu port. Turpentine oil quoted at about 1010USD/ton (super grade, Pinus massoniana) in Huangpu port.

Gum rosin market was flat in the past few days, producers' offer was still higher than buyers's expectation, trading was slack. The newest quotation is as follow.
Yunnan province: 6000RMB/ton (ww grade, steam method, Pinus Kesiya, packing with galvanized iron drum)
Guangxi province: 6500-6700RMB/ton (ww grade, steam method, Pinus massoniana, packing with galvanized iron drum)
Guangdong province: 6500-6800RMB/ton (ww grade, steam method, Pinus massoniana, packing with galvanized iron drum)
Huangpu port: 6500-6800RMB/ton (ww grade, steam method, Pinus massoniana, packing with galvanized iron drum)
For the export market, exporters' offer was also higher than overseas buyers' expectation, trading was not active; the quotation of gum rosin was about FOB 800USD/ton (ww grade, steam method, Pinus massoniana, packing with galvanized iron drum) in Huangpu port.
