Ashland announces price increases for gelcoats, unsaturated polyester and epoxy vinyl ester resins in North America effective January 1, 2017

DUBLIN, Ohio – Ashland announced today it will increase the price of composite
materials sold in North America as outlined below:
• Unsaturated polyester resins, sold under the brands of Aropol, Arotran, Envirez
and Polaris, will increase $0.05/lb
• Epoxy vinyl ester resins and other specialty resins, sold under the brands of
Derakane, Hetron, Modar, AME and Neulon, will increase $0.05/lb
• Gelcoats, sold under the brands of Maxguard and Enguard, will increase $0.06/lb
These increases will take effect January 1, 2017, or as contracts allow.
This increase is primarily driven by increases in key raw materials. Ashland continues to
make these decisions with the intent to ensure we are servicing our customers with the
utmost quality and performance and the ability to continue reinvesting in our product
line.
