Multi Packaging Solutions/Chesapeake (MPS/CSK), a leader in print and packaging for the branded consumer, healthcare, and multi-media markets, has acquired Integrated Printing Solutions (IPS) and Jet Lithocolor (Jet) to create a comprehensive end-to-end solution for the credit, debit, gift, loyalty and insurance card markets.

The acquisitions solidify the company’s market position by adding a full complement of card production capabilities to its existing creative services, decorative technologies, and sustainable solutions. These capabilities include laminated card production, imaging, affixing, direct mail and fulfillment.

“The addition of IPS and Jet greatly benefits our customers and significantly enhances our ability to provide unique solutions with an aggregate of products, technologies, and services,” said Marc Shore, CEO of MPS/CSK. “As leaders in the transaction card market, both organizations exhibit the talents and expertise to perfectly complement our innovative and quality-driven team.”

Multi Packaging Solutions/Chesapeake has 51 manufacturing locations in the United States and Europe and employs more than 7,200 people. MPS/CSK is a portfolio company of Carlyle Group and of Madison Dearborn Partners.

With headquarters and operations in the suburbs of Chicago, Jet is well positioned to support its national client base. Based just south of Denver, Integrated Printing Solutions is a premier producer and innovator of card solutions and strategies for some of the world’s most influential companies. IPS is certified by Visa, MasterCard, and American Express to receive, store and personalize all of its branded products.

BrewExpo attendees will also see Quad/Graphics represented in booth 1815. Through a partnership with A.B. Sealer, Quad/Graphics’ beverage carriers will run on the packaging equipment manufacturer’s newest semi-automatic case erector/pack station machine being introduced at the trade show.

“With so many product options vying for consumers’ attention, brand marketers look to us for packaging that stands out, reinforces the brand, and connects with consumers,” said Tom Garland, president of packaging. “Our expanded capabilities, which include innovative and unique package configurations and high-end decorative treatments, provide a market identity for brands to differentiate them on the store shelf.”
