Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing (CCW) today introduced the first masonry sealer that can be applied to damp surfaces, saving contractors labor charges of up to .$57 per square foot over leading competitors.
CCW Clear Penetrating Sealer is a breakthrough in masonry sealer technology. The proprietary "no-tarp, no-tape" formula will not harm metal, plastic, glass, plants or other common vegetation, eliminating costly and time consuming jobsite prep time. The water-based, concentrate is packaged in convenient 1 and 20 liter containers for easy transport and stocking.
"Clear Penetrating Sealer is a water soluble, reactive nanotechnology similar to the lotus leaf, nature's only self-cleaning organism," explains Steve Velten, CCW senior research chemist. "When rain falls on lotus leaves, nano-scale, hair-like structures cause water to bead up, roll off and collect dirt, creating what scientists call the 'lotus effect.' We have incorporated similar technology into CCW Clear Penetrating Sealer."
Clear Penetrating Sealer offers a number of other unique features and benefits including:
Suitable for most common substrates eliminating confusing product choices
20% increase in coverage rates over competition
Allows interior moisture to escape without damaging sealer
VOC compliant (<350 g/L)
Can be used in and around occupied spaces due to very low odor
Helps reduce efflorescence, atmospheric staining and mildew
Can be painted
UV stable
Transparent and non-staining so it will not alter natural surface appearance.
