Tire Resin Maker Showing Off New Plant

Chinese tire chemical company Sino Legend (Zhangjiagang) Chemical Co. has been actively "showcasing" its resin plant in Zhangjiagang City, 80 miles from Shanghai.

According to the company, ground was broken for the Zhangjiagang facility in 2007, and it was “built to exacting specifications with future global expansion in mind.”
“When we began designing the plant, the intent was to construct it equal to or above Western standards as a strategic advantage for global growth,” said Corey Xie, deputy manager of Sino Legend. “This took the form of sophisticated automation systems, quality assurance protocols and monitoring, and strict environmental controls. The result is the most advanced facility of its type in the world.”
Just four years after beginning production, Sino Legend claims to hold a 70% share of theChinese tire market and 30% share for the rest of Asia.
