Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. is closing one of its two plants in the Czech Republic, citing falling demand for the resins produced there.
The Columbus-based company, formerly known as Hexion Specialty Chemicals, said it will close the plant in Pardubice, Czech Republic, at the end of June. Its products will be manufactured elsewhere. About 20 people work at the plant.
An executive said in a statement that the action is “regrettable but necessary.”
