Resin supplier DSM Engineering Plastics has reached an agreement to sell its Yparex adhesives business to Resin (Products & Technology) B.V., a Dutch compounding company.
The terms of the deal, which is expected to close in the first quarter of 2011, have not been disclosed.
The Yparex business unit produces extrudable adhesive tie-layer resins used in multilayer packaging films, multilayer pipe applications, and multilayer cladding panels.
According to DSM, the Yparex business will be operated as an independent company under the name Yparex B.V., and will be headquartered at its current location in Geleen, The Netherlands.
The business currently has four employees who will transfer to the new owner.
