Adhesive resin manufacturers expect prices to rise again slightly in July after sliding in May and June. At any rate, anticipated hikes in methanol and urea purchasing costs should be passed on. In addition, producers are aiming to improve their margins, at least slightly, which have long been described as hardly adequate. With raw melamine prices looking set to climb higher again in the third quarter, even larger mark-ups are in the works for impregnating resins.
