Arizona Chemicals Panama City Plant to Temporarily Curtail Production

Panama City, Fla:

Panama City, Fla. – May 1, 2009 - Arizona Chemical announced today that, due to continuing economic conditions, the company will idle its Panama City Tall Oil and Turpentine operations for two weeks beginning May 25, 2009.

“We expect this temporary curtailment will affect the majority of the plants 150 employees, who will be furloughed for the two-week period,” said Hal Beyer, Plant Manager.

Full production is scheduled to resume the week of June 8, 2009.
