China's producer price index up 8.2% in May

BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- The producer price index (PPI) for China's industrial products rose 8.2 percent in May over the same month last year, the National Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday.

The index, which was up 8.1 percent in April, measures the cost of goods when they leave the factory.
