Eastman Increases Resin Dispersions and Rosin Resins Prices on January 1, 2010

KINGSPORT, Tenn., December 2, 2009 - Eastman Chemical Company is increasing prices on the following products effective January 1, or as contracts allow. The primary drivers for this increase are unprecedented raw material cost increases and rising distribution surcharges and energy costs.

Resin Dispersions: Price increase of $US 0.11/kg, APR; EUR 0.08/kg, EMEA; $US 0.05/lb ($US 0.11/kg) NAR and LAR.

Rosin Resins: Price increase of $US 0.22/kg, APR; EUR 0.15/kg, EMEA; up to $US 0.10/lb ($US 0.22/kg) NAR and LAR.

Pamolyn Fatty Acids: Price increase of $US 0.11/kg, APR; EUR 0.08/kg, EMEA; $US 0.05/lb ($US 0.11/kg) NAR and LAR.
